Manchester United have been handed a big injury boost with Luke Shaw poised to return to training on Monday.
The left-back has had an injury-plagued campaign with the Red Devils. He has made just three substitute appearances.
Shaw recently returned to training after a muscle injury, but reports earlier today claimed that he had suffered another setback.
The Telegraph now clarify that the left-back’s concern is not serious and he is expected to return to team training on Monday.
The news is a huge boost for the club, considering they are without Lisandro Martinez due to a serious knee injury.
United manager Ruben Amorim prefers a left-footed centre-back in his back three. Shaw could feature in the coming months.
Martinez’s injury could also pave the way for Ayden Heaven to make his debut. He joined from Arsenal earlier this month.
The 18-year-old is a strong distributor and may get the opportunity to impress the manager over the forthcoming games.
