Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed another injury blow ahead of the Premier League clash against Southampton on Tuesday night.
The Blues have been in poor form in the English top-flight, and they are currently seventh in the table after back-to-back losses on the road.
The club will be aiming to return to winning ways against the Saints at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Ahead of the encounter, Maresca has confirmed that Trevoh Chalobah could be sidelined for upto ten days with a back issue.
He said in his press conference earlier on Monday: “He had a check yesterday. He will be [out for] around one week to ten days.”
Chelsea have picked up only nine points from the last 10 league games and they must win tomorrow to stay in the Champions League hunt.
With teams improving around them in the table, the Blues have no more room for errors starting from the Saints game on Tuesday night.
