Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell has said that he is very excited after joining Crystal Palace on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
The England international fell out-of-favour under Blues manager Enzo Maresca at the start of the season and he made just one appearance until January.
The left-back was expected to leave the Blues this winter and he eventually made the move across London to join the Eagles on loan.
Shortly after his arrival, the former Leicester City man said that he is delighted to join Palace, who are going in a great direction.
He said: “I’m very excited to be here. Crystal Palace are a club that’s going in a great direction.
“You look at the last few months, with the results and how the team’s playing.
“It was a no-brainer to make the decision to come here.”
Chilwell will be aiming to secure regular playing time in the coming months. He is expected to be sold by the Blues this summer.
There is a possibility that Palace could be tempted to sign him on a long-term deal, suppose he manages to impress during his loan stint.
