Manchester United are prepared to go head-to-head with Arsenal in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer.
The Gunners were determined to land the 21-year-old last summer, but he decided to continue with Leipzig for the 2024/25 season.
Sesko is expected to pursue a new challenge later this year. Arsenal are leading the race, but United could offer stiff competition.
The Red Devils are lagging in the centre-forward department with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to score consistently.
Zirkzee has been linked with a possible return to Serie A and reports claim that United could look to replace him with Sesko this summer.
Sesko has had a productive season with 15 goals to his name. He has huge potential and should only get better in the coming years.
Leipzig are prepared to sanction his sale for around £58 million. The asking price should not prove a stumbling block for the Red Devils.
