Brazilian giants Flamengo are close to signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro on loan until the end of the campaign, according to Bola Vip.
The former Real Madrid man has fallen out-of-favour under manager Ruben Amorim. He has been an unused substitute in 13 of the last 17 games.
This has spread speculation over his future at Old Trafford, considering Amorim has admitted that the midfielder does not suit his playing style.
It is now reported that Flamengo are close to securing an agreement with United over a short-term loan for Casemiro until the end of the season.
The Red Devils have reportedly agreed to pay the majority of the midfielder’s wages. Casemiro is also open to moving to Brazil on a short-term basis.
United are preparing for a busy summer transfer window. Casemiro is likely to be offloaded with expected interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr did not make a winter approach for the Brazilian star, but they could make a bid when the transfer window reopens this summer.
