Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was asked about Cole Palmer’s form ahead of the Premier League clash against Southampton on Tuesday night.
The Blues have been in poor form in the league over the past few months. They have picked up just nine points from the last ten matches.
Palmer has also struggled during the same period. He has contributed just three assists for the Blues and has failed to score in the league.
When pressed on Palmer’s drastic dip in form, Maresca said that he is not concerned and added that the club can’t rely on a single individual.
He said: “I am not concerned about Cole [and his form]. During the season he can have some moments where he struggles a little bit more.
“With Cole, we rely on Cole for everything. I said since we start, we need to rely on the team. We are not worried about Cole at all.”
Chelsea will be aiming to end a two-match losing streak against the Saints tomorrow. They should be favourites to seal a comfortable win.
