Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Noussair Mazraoui is on the bench due to a minor problem.
The Morocco international picked up a knee injury in the 2-2 draw at Everton last weekend. He was substituted in the 70th minute.
There were doubts over his involvement tonight, but the versatile defender has been deemed fit to make the matchday squad.
When asked about his absence from the starting XI, Amorim said: “Nous has a little problem, but Lenny was already to play.”
United have been in poor form in the Premier League and they have accumulated just 30 points after 26 games into the season.
The club are winless in the last three top-flight matches, but should be clear-cut favourites to beat Ipswich at Old Trafford tonight.
Any other result than a victory could lead to more questions over Amorim’s position at the helm. He continues to receive the backing but the hierarchy could react negatively if the winless streak extends.
