Manchester United and Chelsea are ready to pay the release clause to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen at the end of the season.
The Nigerian star is currently on a season-long loan at Galatasaray where he has been in brilliant form with 19 goals in all competitions.
He is expected to secure a bigger club in the summer and Napoli Magazine claim that United and Chelsea could battle it out for his services.
The duo are prepared to pay the €75m release clause in the striker’s contract and talks are ongoing behind the scenes with his agents.
The 26-year-old is on a weekly salary of around €190,000 per week and he could demand a similar package to move to England.
United seem prepared to meet his wage demands, but there are doubts whether the Blues would be willing to pay such a salary.
Chelsea were reluctant to do so last summer. This was the prime reason behind Osimhen turning down a move to Stamford Bridge.
