Manchester United target Nuno Mendes has ended speculation regarding his future by signing a new long-term deal at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Portuguese was heavily linked with the Red Devils in the recent transfer window, but United did not make any kind of approach for him.
It was suggested that manager Ruben Amorim may want a reunion, but United ended up landing Patrick Dorgu to bolster the left wing-back department.
Mendes has now ended the gossip by committing to an extension at PSG. He has extended his stay until the summer of 2029 while becoming one of the top earners.
His new contract means that he won’t be pursuing a new challenge in the summer. United probably were aware of the same before signing Dorgu from Lecce.
Dorgu made his debut from the right wing-back position in the FA Cup, but he is equally comfortable playing from the left wing-back role. He could be rotated in those positions.
